WORkTop

A kitchen top is one of the most important elements in a kitchen, together with the doors, and it is certainly the most used, from preparing a simple breakfast to more important meals. Often designed as an extension with snack bar solutions or table tops, the “top”, as it is called in technical jargon, must be able to satisfy ergonomic and functional criteria, but in equal measure, also those concerning appeal and refinement given the visual impact it has. Laminate worktop

The melamine laminate worktop is made of a water-repellent wood particle (E1 class) panel with a high-pressure plastic laminate (HPL) coating. The decorative laminate, created by layers of paper impregnated with thermosetting resins, is subjected to the combined action of heat (>=120°C) and high pressure (>=5Mpa) giving the finished product mechanical, physical and chemical resistance, easy workability and great simplicity of maintenance. Available in various thicknesses, it can have different looks suitable for both classic and modern models, depending on the finishes chosen and the work performed (worktop post-formed edge, worktop square edge or inclined ABS1 edge).

One colour worktop

The unicolor laminate worktop, uniformly coloured throughout its thickness, consists of a water-repellent wood particle board (E1 class) covered with a 1.2 mm thick decorative laminate applied at high pressure (HPL - High Pressure Laminate), in turn composed of cellulose-based materials, layers of paper coloured and impregnated (60-70%) with thermosetting resins (30-40%). Its characteristics include mechanical, physical and chemical resistance, easy workability and ease of maintenance. The thickness of the laminate makes it possible to install hobs and sinks with flush tops. Available in various heights with U3 profile or folding edge

Layered HPL worktop

The HPL layered worktop consists of layers of Kraft paper impregnated with amino plastic thermosetting resins. During processing it is subjected to high pressure (9MPa) and high heat (150°C) in special multi-daylight presses, where the polycondensation of the resins takes place in such a way as to obtain a material that is non-porous, stable and with high mechanical resistance. Available in different thicknesses and profiles (squared and inclined).

Fenix NTM laminate worktop

FENIX NTM is an innovative material belonging to the laminate family: created for interior design, it is produced by the simultaneous application of heat (about 150°C) and high specific pressure (>7MPa) to obtain a uniform non-porous product with high density. It can be worked with a squared PP profile or an inclined OI profile.

Quarzo Koros® worktop

The product is the result of a mixture composed of 95% natural quartz and 5% resin and oxide pigments. This composition ensures the superior technical performance of the counter. It is resistant to abrasion, chemical attacks, the absorption of liquids and heat. The material is not porous, is waterproof, resistant to stains, acids and solvents, it is easily cleaned and is therefore highly hygienic.

LAB LUBE worktop: a composite formed of selected quartz (more than 90%), resin and coloured pigments, manufactured using a high-technology patented procedure. Light worktop

The light worktop consists of silica powders, resins and pigments, like the most well-known quartz-based materials. For this reason it is highly resistant to abrasion, absorption of liquids, heat and chemical agents. The product is easily cleaned because the material is not porous, is waterproof, has a good resistance to stains and is therefore highly hygienic. Quartz worktop

Silestone® worktop

Silestone is made of 94% natural quartz, crystallised silicon dioxide (SiO2) which is normally white or transparent, and the remaining 6% polyester resin which, thanks to the processing techniques used, adds elasticity to the top. It is a material with an extraordinary performance, above all from the point of view of hardness and resistance. The quartz surface is enriched with a special bacteriostatic formula able to prevent the propagation of bacteria and based on the latest generation of silver ion technology. Available with P angular profile in different thicknesses and colours.

Ile LUBE worktop

ILE LUBE surfaces are composed of approximately 93-95% pure natural quartz, 4-6% superior quality synthetic or natural resin and 1% natural pigments (powdered iron oxide). This composition gives the counter excellent performance against abrasions, chemical attack, absorption of liquids and heat. It is not porous, is waterproof and therefore highly hygienic. Dupont™ corian® worktop

Corian is a solid, uniform material made up of 1/3 acrylic resin (polymethyl methacrylate) and 2/3 natural minerals consisting mainly of aluminium triidate. It is a material that is easy to maintain and has great durability: it does not flake, stands up well to everyday use and is able to withstand most bumps, scratches and cuts. Non-porous, it is compact throughout its thickness and can be installed with imperceptible joints that make the surface fully hygienic. It has a squared profile and thicknesses of various kinds.

Gres Koros® worktop

Gres Koros is produced in Italy using a patented process with superior technology, that uses a blend of only natural raw materials that are moistened and ground and transformed into granular material and then compacted before being sterilised at a temperature of 1200 degrees. This means it provides a higher level of resistance to chemical attacks, scratches, deep abrasions and bending, with a reduced thickness and larger sizes. It is absolutely recyclable and eco-friendly, since it is made of exclusively natural raw materials. The highly-refined characteristics of this material are, on the one hand, its hygienic properties, easy cleaning and resistance to the onset of fungi and moulds, and on the other, resistance against fire, heat, wear and tear, various climate conditions, scratches and detergents. Work surfaces in Gres Koros® pass even the most severe tests allowing foodstuffs, blades and chemical products to be used directly on its surface.

DEKTON is a sophisticated combination of raw materials used for building: glass, the latest generation of porcelain materials and quartz surfaces. The absence of porosity and defects due to weak points or areas of tension is the main feature of this material, which is also distinguished by its colour stability, dimensional stability, high mechanical resistance, high resistance to scratches, high resistance to ultraviolet rays, maximum resistance to fire and heat but also to ice and freezing, resistance to abrasions and stains. The slabs of Laminam Stoneware are distinguished by being thin and large: they are produced in Italy using a patented process with superior technology that employs a mixture of only natural raw materials ground up when wet, transformed into granulated material and compacted before being sintered at a temperature of 1,200 degrees. Eco-friendly and recyclable, Laminam Stoneware also has a high resistance to mechanical stress, chemical attacks, scratches, deep abrasion and bending. Mutina is a porcelain stoneware made of clays and other raw materials of natural origin. It is therefore an ecological material, non-porous, hygienic, durable, resistant to impact, heat, humidity, contact with external agents (food, detergents, chemicals). Designed in coordination with the doors of the Clover Mutina model, it is available with an inclined profile and in different colours.

Infinity™ worktop

Infinity is a fine porcelain stoneware vitrified across its entire thickness, formed of an extremely fine paste of precious clays with the addition of feldspars, quartzes and kaolins, obtained through pressing (450 kg/cm2 and above) and then sintered to a temperature over 1200°C. Complete vitrification of the slabs allows average absorption of 0.05%, well below what is required by current regulations. The slabs are therefore frost-resistant, non-absorbent, inalterable due to daily chemical attacks and UV rays, highly resistant to the mechanical stress caused by everyday objects and tools, easy to clean and non-combustible.

Cultured marble worktop

By composite marble is meant a compound based on marble, resin and coloured pigments. It has moderate resistance to breakage, scratches and excessive rubbing. Contact with chemical agents or acid-based foods should be avoided. Porous like all natural stones, it absorbs the substances it comes into contact with. A good water repellent treatment, repeated periodically, slows absorption times and allows acting before the liquid penetrates into the stone. However, it does not offer any protection against the corrosive effects of acidic substances. Available with various profiles and different colours.

Stainless steel worktop

Stainless steel shelves are made of a wooden particle board (Class E1) covered with AISI 304 2B steel sheeting with a 1 mm thick Scotch Brite finish. It is perfectly impervious to stains and is perfectly suitable for the hygienic handling of food in the kitchen. While durable, steel does not have a great resistance to scratching and rubbing.

Glass worktop

Glass worktops are made of 12 mm thick glass and a V100 water repellent E1 melamine backing, about 28 mm thick. Glass lacquering is carried out with lead-free paints, while special glues are used for securing it to the wood support. Glass surfaces are distinguished by their non-porosity and superior hygiene, torsional strength and impact resistance, for their resistance over time to deterioration and aesthetic decay. Available with an inclined profile and gleaned P profile, an aluminium under-top edge and glass edge. Can be produced in various colours.
